Leaving Time
Book #38 Read in 2015
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult
Jenna is a teenager who is trying to find her mother who went missing when Jenna was a toddler. There had been an accident at the elephant sanctuary, owned by her parents, and a worker ended up trampled and Jenna's mother was severely hurt. She disappeared from the hospital, leaving Jenna behind with questions and Jenna's father behind with mental issues. Did Jenna's mother leave to hide bad things that she may have done? In typical Picoult fashion, this book moves back and forth between narrators. Readers of Picoult know to expect a twist at the end but this twist was one that I was not expecting. This was a good read and will keep readers engaged.
